Sightseeing Sardinia
Emerald Coast
Hello , I am the B&B host and I work as Frenchspeaking sightseeing guide in Sardinia .
Here are suggestions for a one-day excursion to the Emerald Coast beautiful beaches departing from the B&B Olbia :
Leaving Olbia towards Palau , follow the Costa Smeralda sign until you fìnd the split Porto Cervo - Capriccioli : turn to the right and at the end of the road , beyond the lentisk bushes you will find one of the most beautiful coves of the Emerald Coast : Capriccioli beach. The Prince's beach ( Lu Poltu di Li Coggi, in the language of Gallura) certainly deserves a visit : the water is so transparent !
The longest beaches are in Liscia Ruja : you will find the sign 100 metres after the split .
The Prince's beach has no sign : it is the third road once you have turned to the right leaving Capriccioli .
The Emerald Coast is quite expensive : it was created by Prince Aga Khan in the 60's for the holidays of richest people in the world .
Sightseeing :
Leaving Baja Sardinia towards Olbia you can visit the archaeological area of Arzachena, located just a few kms after Arzachena town on road n. 125 Palau-Olbia :
you will discover the giants tombs of Capichera and the Nuraghe Albucciu , one of the prehistorical towers which only exist in Sardinia and learn all about it with the guides of the site .

After a visit to Porto Cervo town you can drive 4 more kilometres towards Baja Sardinia , a nice village on the sea which is just outside Aga Khan's kingdom , and have a good " bruschetta " in Enza's "NEWS café" , located in front of the beautiful Baja Sardinia beach .
